The stories focus on the Hell-bound souls occupying the different rooms of The Hyperion.

Who are they?

How did they end up in Hell?

What has happened to them since they got there?

How did they end up in The Hyperion to tell Brayden (the main character) their story?

Not every story answers each of these questions, and the authors brought their own ideas and understandings of Hell and human nature to the project. The reader explores these tales at Brayden’s side, as he makes his way through the building.

The poems are featured as writing that Brayden quite literally reads on the walls as he traverses the liminal hallways from room to room and floor to floor. These are also voices from Hell, expressing through their poetry their stories, their experiences, their torments, their regrets, and sometimes, their remembered joys.
